When Colville Tribal Casinos began its search for a gaming and entertainment complex in Manson, Washington, it looked to implement an unconventional gaming structure that could provide a cost-effective, long-term solution. Even with many different building alternatives on the market, Colville Tribal Casinos could find nothing quite as unique as Sprung.
Situated in the picturesque region of North Central Washington overlooking Lake Chelan in Seattle’s cottage and wine country, Mill Bay Casino is a state-of-the-art gaming and entertainment facility just a few minutes' drive from the resorts on the lake.
Housed in a Sprung tensioned membrane structure, the custom-made interior accomodates space for over 300 slot machines, various table games, a sit-down restaurant, and a full-service bar and lounge.
The gaming facility’s streamlined erection process meant it could be fully operational in a much shorter time-frame than with most other types of construction, while the R-30 energy-efficiency rating—higher than any typical conventional construction—meant lower operating expenses. With a blackout interior membrane, high ceilings, and distinctive graphics on the structure’s exterior, Sprung succeeded in creating an ideal environment for the Colville Tribal Casino application that went above and beyond anything they had expected.
