Conoco Phillips required a new facility to thaw out their heavy equipment prior to being serviced in their maintenance shop. The North Slope of Alaska sees regular temperatures well below -30F throughout the winter and this new thawing facility will help to free up space in their truck shops. Conoco was looking for a much better solution over the typical tents they have been purchasing over the past several years that have not performed in the harsh Alaska climate. Our Sprung solution provided a much higher quality structure that suits their requirements and even before the main door was installed the GC was able to keep the structure well above freezing with only one exterior diesel heater and tarps hung over the door openings. This project was completed in 24 days.
