On December 17th, 2019 San Francisco opened a new Navigation Center that will provide 200 beds in Sprung Structures. The Center’s model focuses on providing an extended-stay shelter with necessary amenities like bathrooms and showers. Residents will be able to keep their pets and belongings with them. Counseling will be available to help residents get on a path to a more permanent housing situation. In some cases, the residents may qualify for work placement programs, transitional programs or other housing options with the city.
