The historic San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park boasts five exhibit spaces with exotic plants and flowers from all over the world. Each gallery showcases unique plants and flowers, custom metal work and architectural beauty throughout the building.
Needing to expand its capacity to host more banquets and wedding receptions, the Conservatory looked for an option that would both complement the heritage buildings on the property and provide extra function space for future events. The Conservatory of Flowers turned to Sprung for the ideal solution.
Sprung erected a durable 40′ x 70′ tensioned membrane structure featuring a large clearspan design and a glazing wall with brick wainscoting that assimilates perfectly with the historic architecture of the Conservatory. Located in beautiful Golden Gate Park, the banquet facility offers evening rentals for a wide range of events in the Bay Area, including weddings, birthday celebrations, parties and corporate galas.
The opening gala attracted local celebrities such as Mayor Gavin Newsom and has been booked every weekend since its inception. By adding the Sprung structure to their facility, the Conservatory of Flowers can now offer a sophisticated function space without having to rent costly, unsafe, and unsightly party tents.
