When the state of Pennsylvania approved VLT-style slot machines at horse racing tracks, Meadows Racetrack could not get their gambling license fast enough.
The racetrack needed an immediate building solution that could accommodate their need for a gaming center, generate traffic and boost revenue while ensuring exceptionally fast delivery, low operating costs and an attractive monthly lease rate. After carefully considering a number of building alternatives, Meadows Racetrack selected Sprung as its product of choice.
After the decision was made to move forward, Sprung supplied two interconnected structures at 130’ wide x 360’ long and 90’ wide x 350’ long, complete with an energy-efficient R28 insulation system and black interior membrane liner totaling approximately 78,000 square feet.
The Sprung fabric structure accommodated space for over 1738 slots, a 350-seat restaurant, a gift shop, snack bar and a sports bar. From initial ground breaking to final completion, the casino was opened in just 180 days with more than 12,000 guests in attendance.
