- With Calgary’s extreme climate and short patio season, Sprung was approached to provide a year-round solution from the elements while still maintaining a vibrant outdoor atmosphere.
- Adding to the challenge, the install was to take place on top of a downtown Calgary rooftop, during winter, meaning the installation team would be battling intense winds and heavy snow.

- Sprung worked with The Rooftop team and their partners to design and install a modern, bright and customized facility.
- The open concept design provides concert-level acoustics for events, and the natural daylight panels compliment the vast greenery that simulates an outdoor space — all while being protected from the elements.

The Rooftop appears to be one of the largest outdoor “weather-managed” patio experiences in Canada. Perched above the lively streets of downtown Calgary, The Rooftop is a one-stop shop for food and beverage experiences, providing something for everyone in seamless transitions from daytime lunches to evening dining seasoned with imaginative nightlife and musical events. With it’s remarkable forno pizza oven, an extraordinary sound system and band stage, along with huge LED walls and projector TV’s, The Rooftop’s 350 seat patio invites the outside in as it blends delicious locally sourced food, creative cocktails, shareable style of food service with a unique open-air dining room and elevated, interactive atmosphere. www.therooftop.ca
