Challenge
- The City of San Diego is building new and renovating several fire stations throughout the city. The mission of the State Fire Marshal is to protect life and property through the development and application of fire prevention engineering, education and enforcement. To achieve this during the shut down of several fire stations interim stations had to be utilized.
Solution
- 30’ wide by 45’ long Sprung Structure Station #17
- 40’ wide by 45’ long Sprung Structure Station #5
- 30’ wide by 45’ long Sprung Structure Station #22
- 30’ wide by 45’ long Sprung Structure Station #45
Results
- The City of San Diego utilized Sprung Structures as temporary fire stations for all these locations, during construction and renovation. San Diego utilizes Sprung structures because they are relocatable, durable and flexible.
