LA PREGUNTA
When leaders at Kairos Power decided to establish a new research and development center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they identified a pressing need for two structures that could serve as swing space for design, manufacturing and testing activities. Not only did the buildings have to be constructed quickly, their interiors also needed to be tall and roomy enough to accommodate the company’s equipment while providing employees with ample space to work.
FORMA EN LA QUE SPRUNG HACE SUS ENTREGAS
Sprung designed and delivered two spacious structures for Kairos Power’s Albuquerque-based research and development facility. One structure, measuring 90’ x 205’, was installed on top of shipping containers to help maximize its interior height. The other, measuring 100’ x 300’, was fitted with custom flat-end sliding doors for easy equipment access. While both structures were initially sold and delivered as non-insulated, the larger of the two was later retrofitted to be insulated.
Together, these cost-effective, clear-span buildings support Kairos employees as they work to design technology that will help shape the way the world produces power in the future.
