LA PREGUNTA

Sitting in a secluded alpine area with a base elevation of 9,280 feet, Cimarron Mountain Club needed an on-site storage and maintenance facility that would endure challenging weather while supporting the club’s vital snow operations. With no road access during the winter months, CMC relies mainly on its six PistenBully snowcats and other snow equipment for transportation, mountain management and recreational excursions. Protecting this equipment called for the construction of a durable, insulated structure that could withstand heavy snow, high winds and sub-zero temperatures, all while allowing efficient access for year-round maintenance.

FORMA EN LA QUE SPRUNG HACE SUS ENTREGAS

To meet Cimarron Mountain Club’s unique location and operational challenges, Sprung delivered a 100’ x 78’ structure engineered to withstand even the most extreme winter conditions. The fully insulated building sits on a concrete foundation with 5’6” stem walls on each side, and its flat ends are designed to grade in order to minimize snow shedding and maintenance requirements. Featuring a white Tedlar membrane, the structure also includes integrated daylight panels to enhance natural illumination, four personnel doors to support ease of movement for staff, and six 25’ by 16’ rolling service doors to provide easy access for the PistenBully fleet.

Designed for strength, speed of installation and long-term durability, the building serves as a resilient, all-weather storage and maintenance facility, and it can be adapted and relocated as CMC’s needs change or evolve.
