The Ask

The Yakama Nation required a rapid solution to house The Yakama Nation needed a rapidly built structure that could serve both as a homeless shelter and as a COVID isolation facility in Toppenish. Five months into design and planning, however, the needs of the project shifted slightly, turning the structure into a command center that included
a homeless shelter.

How Sprung Delivered

Sprung aligned with RPM Team to provide a complete design-build solution that would meet the necessary requirements of Yakama Nation. The result, known as the Tribal Command Center, is a 60’ wide x 300’ long structure, with six linked, modular support units, and it includes a 100-bed dormitory, a staff office, a warehouse and a commercial kitchen. The facility provides essential services to the surrounding community.
