To better support the long-term growth of youth baseball in the region, the WRSSBA wanted to develop a premier indoor baseball training facility at White Rock’s Centennial Park. Association members were looking for a cost-effective, highly durable building solution that would provide a spacious, climate-controlled environment for young players interested in year-round training and development.

Collaborating closely with members of the White Rock South Surrey Baseball Association and key project stakeholders, Sprung designed and delivered a fully insulated 50’ x 90’ structure to serve as the community’s indoor baseball training facility. Known as the Centennial Cages, the clear-span building features three spacious batting bays for year-round practice and player development, along with daylight panels that maximize natural light and enhance the overall playing environment.

Officially opened in April 2026, the Centennial Cages also provide an ongoing revenue opportunity for the association, with the facility available for rental by community groups and other baseball organizations when not in use by WRSSBA players.
