Sprung’s tensioned fabric structures are developed from our patented, advanced fabric membrane building technology. As a result of decades of research and development, Sprung provides the most durable, long-lasting architectural membrane available, making our structures the best option for custom fabric building applications. Engineered for comfort and convenience, Sprung’s structures are safe, energy-efficient, climate-controlled, cost-effective and faster to build.

Membrane solutions for your building needs
Engineered to Endure.
Built to Perform.
Sprung’s architectural membranes are trusted worldwide for their unmatched strength, durability and long-term performance. Available in two options — Sprung 15 and Sprung 25 — each comes with a pro-rata guarantee (15 years and 25 years, respectively), delivering peace of mind and proven value.
What sets Sprung’s membranes apart is the use of “précontraint” technology, a manufacturing process that layers polymers in both directions (warp and weft) to reinforce the fabric and create superior dimensional stability. This ensures the membrane resists sagging, stretching and mechanical fatigue, even under extreme conditions.
For Permanent Fabric Structures: Sprung 25
Sprung 25 architectural membrane is backed by our 25-year pro rata guarantee. The membrane’s longevity is a result of the PVDF CROSSLINK topcoat, which is applied in a high percentage to protect against UV degradation, dirt accumulation and air pollution.
Key Performance Benefits
Long-term strength: Maintains up to 70% of original tensile strength up to 30 years (Sprung 25)
Dimensional stability: Tensioned polyester scrim resists stretching and sagging
UV and pollution resistance: CROSSLINK Topcoat guards against sun damage, dirt and air pollution (Sprung 25)
Low-maintenance: Smooth, low-friction surface makes cleaning easy and minimizes buildup
Engineered to perform anywhere: Proven in extreme environments, from Arctic cold to desert heat
For Short-Term Applications and Portable Fabric Buildings: Sprung 15
Sprung 15 architectural membrane is backed by our 15-year pro-rata guarantee. A PVDF topcoat is applied to protect against UV degradation, dirt accumulation and air pollution.
Key Performance Benefits
Dimensional stability: Tensioned polyester scrim resists stretching and sagging
Low-maintenance: Smooth, low-friction surface makes cleaning easy and minimizes buildup
Engineered to perform anywhere: Proven in extreme environments, from Arctic cold to desert heat
For Greenhouse Installations: Sprung’s Highly Translucent Greenhouse Membrane
Designed specifically for greenhouse structures
Ideal light transmission while diffusion eliminates shadowing
Weighs approximately 24 oz. per square yard
Naturally cleaned with rainwater or snow
10-year pro-rata Guarantee
A New Chapter Begins
After 138 years serving Southern Alberta, Western Tent would like to announce that our operations are being absorbed by our larger conglomerate, Sprung Structures. As we move forward, many of the products we’ve offered over the years—including residential and commercial awnings, canopies, tents and custom shelters—will no longer be available.
Thank you to all of our loyal and valued customers. Your trust and support over the years have meant the world to us. We invite you to visit www.sprung.com to see what the company’s future holds under the Sprung name.
With gratitude, The Western Tent Team WTA@sprung.com
