米陸軍の "Grow the Army "構想の一環として、陸軍の規模を75,000人近く拡大することを目的としたフォート・ブリスは、2005年に改修工事を受ける予定だった。兵士たちのために、士気・福祉・レクリエーション（MWR）体育館が必要だと決定されたのだ。
スプラングは、MWRの体育館としてコスト効率と耐久性に優れた建造物を提供しました。当社の特許技術であるテンション膜を使用した軽量構造で、従来の建設にかかる時間の数分の一で建設することができました。クリアスパン設計により、開放的で美しい雰囲気の中、兵士たちがトレーニングの成果を最大限に発揮できるようになりました。
