SLC消防局は、これまで市内の各署に分散して保管していた大量の予備の消火器具や資機材を保管できる倉庫を必要としていました。機材を一カ所に集中保管し、管理することができれば、市内のあらゆる緊急事態に対して、より迅速で効果的な対応が可能になります。
スプラングがSLCファイヤーに提供したのは、19,5000平方フィートのクリアスパン断熱倉庫で、現在はロジスティクスビルとして知られている。高い天井高を持つこの建物は、車両や機器のためのスペースが広く、白い内張りとデイライトパネルが明るく心地よい雰囲気を作り出しています。SLC消防署の余分な備品をすべて中央の1カ所に移すことで、SLC消防署は、火災や緊急事態が発生した場合に迅速な対応ができるようになった。ロジスティクスビルは、備品の収容に加え、在庫の維持・更新や、各署への備品の迅速な配達を行う署員のためのオフィススペースも提供している。
