ミシサガ病院は、オンタリオ州公衆衛生局の予測に基づき、COVID-19陽性患者の潜在的な流入に対応するため、収容能力を増強する必要がありました。
スプラング社はBLTコンストラクションと組み、ミシサガ病院に隣接する駐車場に、2本の廊下で結ばれた50フィート×165フィートの建造物を納入した。発注から4日後に納品され、わずか14日で建設が完了したこの建物は、COVID-19患者の潜在的急増に対応するため、同病院に90床の増床をもたらした。
この設計ソリューションは、極度の風荷重に耐え、雪を逃がすように設計されている。同病院は、この施設を解体して保管し、将来再利用できるようにする計画だ。
