The Ask

When the Richland County Sheriff’s Department was faced with a growing need for additional substations, it began looking into alternative building solutions to help mitigate the steep maintenance expenses associated with traditionally built county structures. After extensive research, the department chose to go with a Sprung structure for its next substation to help lower construction and operational costs.

How Sprung Delivered

Sprung designed and delivered a fully insulated
40’ wide x 120’ long structure to serve as the department’s Region 7 Substation in the town of Elgin, South Carolina. Featuring custom exterior colors and a brightly lit, spacious interior, the structure is equipped with all the administrative and operational amenities required in a substation, including plenty of office space, squad and conference rooms, a reception area, a break-sroom/kitchen, shower and locker facilities and more.
