THE ASK
The City of Jefferson needed a cost-effective, energy-efficient aquatic facility to serve the growing recreational needs of its community. The structure had to be durable, withstand heavy use and inclement weather, and provide a safe, comfortable environment with minimal maintenance demands. After extensive research, Jefferson City Council unanimously decided to go with a Sprung aquatic structure. Sprung was chosen for its proven performance in energy efficiency, acoustic control, cost savings and rapid construction.
HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED
Jefferson’s aquatic center, known officially as the Billy and Barbara Cain Natatorium, opened in January 2026. Measuring 110’ x 240’, the facility’s main structure houses two swimming pools that provide a comprehensive range of programs and services designed to promote health, wellness, safety and competitive excellence for all ages and abilities. Featuring daylight panels for natural light, and an attractive exterior wave pattern, the pool facility also has two connecting corridors that link to a separate 60’ x 120’ Sprung structure. This structure provides space for locker rooms, showers, offices, classrooms and an entrance foyer for check-in.
