THE ASK

Farmers in Utah, and farmers in general, are consistently faced with the challenge of feeding growing populations while up against changing climates, water shortages, less arable land and unforeseen supply chain disruptions. Grōv-Bateman needed a reliable and consistent year-round climate-controlled growing facility.

HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED

The Grōv-Bateman feed production center, located on Utah’s largest dairy farm, is now home to 10 GrōPods™ that are capable of growing about 25 tons of fresh animal feed a day. These unique CEA buildings represent the annual traditional yield of nearly 750 acres on a footprint of 18,000 square feet, or less than half an acre. The design of the Sprung structures enables rapid construction, energy efficiency, superior climate control and extreme weather tolerance.
