Navigation Center SF

Sprung is working with cities and communities across North America to help build bridge structures and navigations centers to help bridge the gap between the homelessness and stable housing programs. These structure not only provide a place for people to sleep, but offer a safe space to provide case management, health and wellness assessments, addiction counselling, job placements and other necessary functions to transition to more permanent solutions.

In San Francisco the Division Circle Navigation Center is being built on a parking lot where nearby homeless encampments and ‘tent cities’ were an almost permanent fixture. With limited foundation requirements for the structure, construction of the 150 bed facility is moving progressing quickly. The aluminum substructure was erected in 2 days. The external membrane has been installed allowing work on the interior fittings and build outs to begin.

The two Sprung Structures will provide space for 150 beds, a kitchen, pantry, offices and conference rooms where health officials and case workers can interact with the residents of the center as more stable housing placements are identified and assigned.

The site will also feature a large deck, outdoor seating, and gardens.

Construction continues at a quick pace and the facility is due to be open by fall.
