THE ASK

The Conservatory of Flowers is a greenhouse and botanical garden that houses a collection of rare and exotic plants in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. Set within a stunning, historic building that was completed in 1879—making it the oldest public wood-and-glass conservatory in North America—the Conservatory of Flowers serves as a gorgeous venue for public and private events. When stakeholders at the Gardens of Golden Gate Park decided they needed to expand the function space around the conservatory, they looked to Sprung for an alternative to conventional tent technology.

HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED

Sprung delivered a 40’ x 70’ structure that blends in beautifully with the historic architecture of the Conservatory. Featuring subtle brick wainscoting on its exterior, glazing walls that let in ample natural light, and a wide-open, clear-span interior, the structure serves as a safe and sophisticated function space within the Gardens of Golden Gate Park—and it has been booked every weekend since its completion.
