THE ASK

Working with Kiewit and Jacobsen Construction, the mine sought an immediate solution for sheltering rail cars as part of a rail car overhaul. The structure would require precision, as it had to be erected on the existing rail system to allow cars to roll into one end, and the site’s high elevation only permitted a narrow space for building.

HOW SPRUNG DELIVERED

In just three weeks, Sprung delivered a durable, cost-effective structure using our patented tensioned membrane technology. A large rolling service door was on one end of the structure, and a steel container butted against it on the opposite side, serving as the contractors’ shop area. With its high-performance design, the structure provided significant advantages over pre-engineered steel buildings.
