The Ask

When the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians decided to move forward with plans to build a casino on its designated land in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, members turned to Sprung for help in creating a spacious, cost-effective gaming facility that would provide an optimal entertainment experience for guests while also blending in aesthetically with the local surroundings.

How Sprung Delivered

Sprung delivered a 62,000-square-foot gaming complex consisting of two fully insulated structures, both of which feature an open, clear-span design and a Bayberry Green Tedlar architectural membrane that complements the Northern California landscape. Called River Rock Casino, the facility initially housed just 60 slot machines, but operations have since expanded to include more than 1,000 slot machines, as well as 18 gaming tables, two cafes and a bar.

Guests at River Rock are made to feel welcome and comfortable thanks in large part to the facility’s appealing architectural elements, such as the warm earth tones of its decor and a full glazing wall that reveals lovely countryside views.
