The Ask

The zoo wanted to add a banquet facility to its grounds in order to optimize hosting capacity for social events and gatherings.

How Sprung Delivered

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden purchased a 60’ x 87’ insulated Sprung structure featuring a Bayberry and Light Tan Dupont Tedlar architectural membrane. Dubbed the Peacock Pavilion, the facility opened in April 2013 and includes 4,500 square feet of year-round event space.

As the zoo’s largest event rental facility, the Peacock Pavilion comes with complete A/V capabilities and a private, secluded garden area. The zoo chose a Sprung structure for this facility due in part to its clear-span space, speed of delivery and installation and low environmental impact.
