Challenge
- At 4,200 meters above sea level in the Andes this mine site needed to protect equipment from the heavy snow load in this area. (The snow load in the location was 2000 kilos per square meter).
Solution
- 42’ wide by 148’ long (12.9 m wide by 45.3 m long) Sprung Structure
Results
- Structure needed to be designed and constructed on top of a 1.5 meters cement wall that was built many years before structure was considered.
