Client
- Regis Jesuit High School – Denver, Colorado
Challenge
- Regis Jesuit High School is a serious contender in high school athletics with over 50 teams – and is one of the only private secondary schools in Colorado with its own swimming pool facility.
- In 2019, the 20-year-old bubble cover was no longer useful.
- An industry-leading aquatics facility firm recommended solutions, including Sprung Structures, to replace the bubble and improve the facility’s environmental quality.
Solution
- 90’ wide by 105’ long Sprung Structure size of the structure
Results
- The school chose Sprung for our quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness.
- Within 90 days of construction starting in 2020, a new Sprung structure was in place over the existing pool.
- More sustainable and durable than the original bubble, our patented fabric membrane can withstand the vast temperature fluctuations of Colorado. The new structure means:
- Increased deck space
- Vastly improved air circulation and quality
- Significantly reduced operating costs
- The encapsulated insulation system is engineered for a high moisture environment with energy-saving properties.
Testimonial
“In the fall of 2020, a new Sprung fabric membrane structure was installed over the existing pool. This solution provided a high-quality and sustainable cover that:
- Increased deck space
- Vastly improved air circulation and quality
- Significantly reduced operating costs.
We are grateful to the Planning and Major Projects Committee for their work on this initiative and continued stewardship of our campus master plan and are excited to have our Swim & Dive teams use the new structure in 2021 with the start of their seasons”.
