Homeless Navigation Centers

A Sprung Navigation Center is a homeless community resource concept designed by city planners across North America. As a complement to the “Housing First” model, a Sprung Navigation Center becomes the vital bridge between life on the streets and an affordable housing unit. Delivered and erected in as little as eight weeks, a Navigation Center allows cities to provide safe and secure accommodations as well as basic life services; bathrooms, showers, laundry, counseling and medical care.

Those experiencing homelessness can now be placed in to the system and given the help they need while preparing them for their transition to longer term affordable housing. See firsthand how the City of San Diego rapidly transitioned a parking lot into a 200 bed veterans facility in just 8 weeks!

Sprung structures are the ideal solution for homeless shelters thanks to low construction costs, limited foundation requirements, and the ability to deliver and build quicker than any conventional homeless building type. Sprung’s bright, clear-span interiors provide permanent or temporary shelter structures with a natural and bright living environment, while an energy-efficient insulation package means a comfortable interior and lower overall operating costs. The sophisticated interior of a Sprung structure can accommodate separate rooms and communal areas allowing for safer and more comfortable spaces within homeless facilities.

“On behalf of the City of San Diego, thank you for the quick response provided by the team at Sprung Structures. With a number of pressing disaster relief situations, I appreciate that Sprung Structures balanced and expedited delivery for San Diegans in need.

Sprung Structures was true to its commitment to quality and service. The company’s willingness to advance the design and delivery process provided an immediate solution for our most vulnerable population.

Again, thank you for standing by your strong reputation. I am grateful and would not hesitate to share my experience with other cities and organizations.”

Sprung: The Clear Housing & Shelter Building Option

Many community officials, non-profit agencies, churches, boards of directors, and municipalities have already chosen to make Sprung their first choice in permanent or temporary shelter building solutions. Sprung structures have been used as emergency housing facilities in several areas of disaster recovery, and as homeless facilities for establishments like Pai’olu Kaiaulu in Hawaii.

As a long-term or temporary solution for clear-span shelters, Sprung structures provide the ability to relocate, and a variety of flexible accessories that perfectly suit any homeless building needs.
